System Hardware Monitoring Tool

Post by VelcroSquid »

Hello All,

I just wanted to share a tool that worked great for me on LM 19. I tried many of the tools I could get my hands on, but found this one performed and looked the best. If you are looking to monitor CPU/GPU temps and usage, HDD/SDD and ram usage, it has all of that. I was impressed...

sudo apt-get install gkrellm

OS: Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon
Cinnamin Version: 3.8.9
Linux Kernal: 4.15.0-34-generic
Processor: AMD Athlon 5350 APU @ 2.15 GHZ
Memory: 8 GB at 1600
SSD: Kingston 120 GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 8400 / R3 Series

looks nice, and thanks for the info :)

I use hardinfo (from the Mint Software Manager) to provide detailed info on my Linux Mint systems, and this looks like a great tool to add to that. Did you use the 'Debian' package download for LM19?
Laptop overheating issues? Check link below. Also moving from Cinnamon to XFCE can give around -5 to -10 degrees C improvements.
