Music and video folders
Hi, I have moved to 19.1 cinnamon edition and am getting a weird scenario when i go into my music or video folders. When I click on the folder, the icons for each item flash over as though they are trying to sort what order they should be in. Does not do any harm at all just seems weird. Never had it before in any of the editions I have used. Anybody else got this or know whats going on?

Re: Music and video folders
When you say "I have moved to 19.1 cinnamon edition" do you mean you did a clean install/reinstall, did you do a web upgrade, and/or do you have more than one desktop environment?
There's also not one bit of useful system info there. Copy/paste this to the terminal and copy/paste the text output here (no screenshots please):
One thing I'd try first is to see if you have previews/thumbnails enabled and if so disable that. I've never ever turned that on for years so I don't have a clue how to, but it sounds like it may be trying to do something like that and failing.
Are you using a mouse or touchpad for this?

Code: Select all

Tried changing the view to list and it still flashes over as if it is sorting them into order. Just strange that it has never happened before. This is a new install on a machine I have had the previous Mint on. Only problem I have had in the past was getting the driver right for my HP laser jet pro but got this fixed OK again.
Thanks for any help and sorry for being so slow.
