postfix - need or delete? (SOLVED)

Postfix comes installed in Mint. Do I need this for Thunderbird mail or can I delete it? I am not running a mail server as far as I know.

I dont see anything about my thunderbird emails. This app generates an error message in the mail.log of System.log

If you don't run mail server, you won't need postfix
