No wireless on laptop [solved]

Post by AndyMH »

About six months ago my daughter needed a laptop so I gave her my old T420 and stuck LM19 cinnamon on it. Had an email this morning - wifi not working. Went round - no wifi, did the obvious things, network settings, etc. Nothing!

After about ten minutes of head scratching, the penny dropped. Turned the laptop on its side and moved that little switch from the off to the on position. Sunday she had left it on the kitchen table and little miss two year old had been playing around. Sometimes the obvious isn't that obvious :?

But... how are you getting on with mint - quizzical look. Is it doing everything you want - yes. Another user with basic browsing, simple word processing and number crunching needs who doesn't really care about operating systems, just wants to use the laptop. Success :D
