Linux Mint First Time User

Post by AmethystCT »

I have used Ubuntu since 8.04 and have followed the LTS Support Releases until Ubuntu 18.04 where I swapped to Zorin OS as I found Ubuntu 18.04 to be very buggy. I run a small business and use Linux as the backbone of my small business but I also provide Linux to my clients. Last night I downloaded Linux Mint 20 and installed it and all I can say for someone who takes a hell of a lot to Distro Swap is how polished and well thought out Linux Mint is. I noticed there is no purple theme for Linux Mint other than one that is more than magenta so I am 1/3 the way through using that theme to make a Purple Theme for Linux Mint. I will subsequently use the Purple Theme when it is complete to make other colours such as Pink, Sky Blue, Royal Blue, Green, Orange, Red, Yellow and Grey. I will miss Zorin OS but I was using Zorin OS 12 and I could no longer use the NVIDIA Drivers without issues and then Google Chrome would crash and the Graphics Array would then fail so it was time to play around with something else anyway. What has turned out to be an experiment to see how Linux Mint is for my clients who want Linux Mint has resulted in my upgrading my Business Systems to Linux Mint.

I think Mint is a good choice for business. Linux Mint very reliable OS. For the entire time of using Mint, I had almost no problems with the system.
I occasionally had small problems, but only solely through my fault :D

When I Print Screen (image of my screen) I sometimes get a clear or proper image (of the screen) and other times I get a cut section of my desktop wallpaper. How do I get a clear and accurate print screen of my screen without garbage corrupting it??

I would recommend that you ask that question in the Support area, and add some system information. You'll get faster and better replies that way. Many people don't read the Chat area of the forums.

Edited to add: the topic you created for your question is now here.

If your issue is solved, kindly indicate that by editing the first post in the topic, and adding [SOLVED] to the title. Thanks!
