Well, Elementary seems to be for those either switching from MacOS, or those who come from Windows but always wanted to use MacOS (without having to buy an expensive Mac).

Another reason can be that all Ubuntu forks are somehow different in one or more small, but important details, e.g. regarding hardware compatibility. So if both Ubuntu and Linux Mint fail on one specific hardware but Elementary works like a charme, it is definitely worth keeping (unless the user hates the DE and prefers to keep on hopping/ search a solution that works with Mint, albeit not out of the box).

LMDE 4 is better than either of the above.
Can I hear it for a Dodge Ram ? A Power Wagon maybe?
Late 70's Toyota Land Cruiser. Reliable without all the "modern improvements" we live with today. Sadly, have not driven one since 1996 or so.
