Both my laptops are currently on 19.3 which is supported to April 2023.
Mint 21 launch is scheduled for mid-2022 (viewtopic.php?f=46&t=334222)
My thinking..
One of my pc is quite old

although an install of 20 itself is not difficult, there are various customisations that I need to perform to " get back to where I am with 19.3"
Upgrading to Mint 21 in late 2022 should have given it time to ease out any issues.
Tony
PS I haven't yet tried a live install of 20... but the outcome of that trial would also be a factor
