Advice needed

Post by schzr0 »

Hi guys. I'm new to Linux and starting with Mint. Want to work my way through the basics including networking and eventually ethical hacking. Have you guys got any ideas of free books I can work through which include exercises for me to work through?

Thanks in advance

Those two are worth the time and effort to read if you plan on increasing your knowledge.

Just signed up to audit the edX course. If it goes well, I'll pay the money and get their certification. This should be pretty interesting.

Which EDX course are you going to audit?

Their Linux course. While I know any of a number of things already, I have a LOT of holes in my knowledge, and so I need to deal with that.

To which I would add: "Never get involved in a land war in Asia" and "Never go in against a Sicilian when DEATH is on the line".
