I have been using Mint for about a year now, and can honestly say it is STILL the best. Periodically, I download other linux distros to try them out and keep up with what's going on. I really thought the other distros would have caught up by now. I'm a long time Windows user looking for a new home. To me, it's just little things that make a difference. Two respectable distros I recently tried still do not automount flash drives, etc. Yes, I know how to do it manually. But I'm lazy and I don't want to. Mint automounts for me which is why I tried Mint to begin with. My friend recently got a new pc and installed Ubuntu. (I know Mint comes from Ubuntu). He said it took him a while but he finally got Compiz installed and working in Ubuntu. I just laughed and said, "I tried to tell you to get Mint because it already has Compiz installed." Believe it or not, a lot of us want UI's to make configuration changes, and eye candy, in the OS.
As always, good job. Keep up the good work and you can overtake Fedora on the DistroWatch list.
Mint is still the best

Mint is still home, and I haven't found anything to compare with its ease of use. It is still the number one distro I recommend to people.
Same for me here. I check out live CD distros from time to time and keep saying to myself "Mint does it better". So I basically stick with Mint. Most of what I do is Internet, anyway, and Mint totally adds to the enjoyment!!
