Long Run Between Reboots

Post by mikeflan »

Gee, maybe I should reboot:

Code: Select all

$ inxi -I
Info:      Processes: 544 Uptime: 25d 7h 00m> Memory: 15.56 GiB used: 13.28 GiB (85.4%)
           Shell: bash inxi: 3.0.32
Surprisingly there are not that many updates to apply:

No need! I've had a Mint and several Linux systems with two year uptime and only shut down to clean them out.

At only 147 days, wouldn't even consider a reboot.

That particular reboot extended to 32 days, which could be my longest. It was still good, but I felt like updating.

I did have some screen tearing going on and that got reduced quite a bit. But it's not entirely gone - just gone for days at a time.

I just checked my Driver Manager and I'm still using nvidia-driver-460 even though 470 is recommended and 495 is available.

It's hard to believe how reliable my LM 19.3 is, and has been for 2+ years now. I can't see upgrading it when things are running so well. It's not rock solid by my definition, but it would be by many people's definition. I probably haven't used Timeshift for at least 8 months now.
