I've been a Mint user since the distro started.
About a week or so ago was the first time I used the update manager to move to a higher version of Mint. 20.2 tfo 21.1.
Doing clean, full installs was always recommended from the beginning.
I am more than pleased that I did not have to go through all of the work of reinstalling all of my programs and resetting up all of my preferences.
At some point did the update manager improve enough where they stopped discouraging people from using it for distribution upgrades?
