Simplicity is another easy to use computer aimed at the elderly
Like Alex it hopes to bring IT to the disadvantaged and to technophobes to use IT as part of their daily lives.
It is based on Linux Mint with a custom front end called Eldy, think of a netbook GUI, but used on a regular PC
Eldy is free and there are versions for Linux Mac & Windows
It comes with training videos featuring Valerie Singleton (I hope she gets a Blue Peter badge for it!)

Re: Simplicity Mint for silver surfers!?
I'd never heard of Eldy and Simplicity, but they both seem very useful for us seniors.
Re: Simplicity Mint for silver surfers!?
Eldy looks well laid out and is free, a better layout than some netbooks in my opinion.
