Well done!

Post by Biker »

I've been a long time Linux user (usually Slackware or a derivative of Slackware) and I decided to try Mint 8 (Main).

All I can say is bloody well done! Normally it's a bit of a hassle to get a distro to fire up properly as I have to hand massage the start up due to the USB drive. Not so with Mint. I crossed my fingers after the installation and just let it go to see if it would fly through. And much to my surprise, it did.

Again.. Can't sing enough praises to the developers of this package. Give yourself a well deserved pat on the back and hoist a pint in honor of a job well done.

this is one good thing in mint because it works out of the box after installation. and also with the good community support here that you can depend when you encounter problems you cant go wrong with this distro
~cheers~

Welcome to LinuxMint and the Mint Forum.

I'm glad, you found that .... "out of the box" experience, that Mint is so famous for.
