Did you try grooveshark, it's free? Although, I am not sure if it has a free app for mobile devices.

I've tried Rhythm Box and Amarok, but prefer Banshee and Exaile...now, if I could only get Exaile's radio to work (which it did once upon a time)!

The repo appears to have 2.4.0. I'm guessing this version doesn't have the new gtk interface?

Used to use Songbird, then moved to Rythmbox before finally settling with Banshee, :)
