Hi I am new to your forum and would like to say hi.
After 2 months of trying to get Freespire 2.0 and 2.3 to connect via wireless I gave up and started to look for a new Linux. I had been using Freespire 1.0.13 and it worked with wireless out of the box. Yesterday I downloaded Linux Mint 3.1 full version and had my wireless with in 20 mins of install. Not knowing how this version of Linux works I had to do a little hit and miss to find out that it did not load any drivers. But had a wireless install menu. Opened my windows cd for my wireless card pop it into the cd drive and went to drivers and installed. Well I must say that had to be the smartest way to install wireless in Linux. Saw that the driver was installed and loaded with ndiswrapper -l. Went stright to setup put in the WEB Key and Ip address and i was in the Internet.
Thank You Linux Mint for making my wireless work the first time.
