It could be possible. Some people play FLASH games which are working fine in browser, Quake Live works also...
My neighbors are using computer for web browsing and flash - face book - games.
An also my nephew is always playing mini clip games.
So there could be someone who is using Linux only for games.

But there is bigger question are you using yours PC only for games? Absolutely no.
This is the same question as "Are you using your car only for work?"

Hi,
I don't know if this is EXACTLY what you are asking when you said "just", but.

I have a dedicated tower next to the wide screen t.v. that is just for gaming.

It is a dual boot with WinXP and Klikit(now moribund). By and large I only use the XP side for MS train simulator and Trainz and LOTR games and things like Murder on the Orient Express.

I tried the SAM Christmas cd and was not greatly impressed in that I could just download the games that were already on there but it was a live cd and intended to run as such.

And, also, I bought the "Super Gamer" cd from the cd purchasing place, more to support them than anything else, they needed the cash at the time. But, again I could install everything I play from synaptic.

So....the Klikit side, which has all apps except games, IM, FF and abiword, stripped from it runs the games I like just fine and I use the system regularly....

especially since I like to sit on the couch WHENEVER possible...preferably recline on it!

My sister in law only uses her laptop to play a couple facebook games with her family. I installed mint onto it and she hasnt had any problems. I guess she would qualify as only using linux for gaming.
