I know a great girl by that name, her birthday is comming up, and I'd really think she'd blush if I show her "Linux Mint 12 Lavinia"

Hail fellow brony! I like your suggestion as well!mtbmikex9 wrote:I am a fan of the Lyra suggestion. Other than being an awesome constellation in the sky, It is also a name of a background pony in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and is ironically mint in color. It seems like a match made in heaven in my eyes. Linux could benefit from all the friendship, love, and tolerance this brings to the community. Other than that I think Lyra is a beautiful name. Its got nerdy origins and most linux users are a bit nerdy. And If I am not mistaken, It is an instrument that I am sure makes a beautiful sound.
Love it. You got me on my knees.tdockery97 wrote:You can call yours what you want, but my Mint 12 is going to be: LAYLA
Mint 13 is supposed to be the next LTS version.Osd1000 wrote:I came up with a codename. Hope. because it will be a great version and maybe LTS once its released.
A second vote for Lorelei: http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/LoreleiRudemeister wrote:How about:

But... but... what about all the nice minty green the distro has kind of adopted as its colour scheme? It wouldn't be Mint anymore without the green...dunnie wrote:The name has got to be Lucifer - and should be a dark theme with fiery red window bordersAlso the Linux Mint sounds should be change to metal track samples...
I like Lena with a single "e". For me, she's an elegant, European woman.mindmint wrote:If I'm not mistaken it should also end with "a". Any other things that need to be considered ?
Since we start with L, I'd also continue with I... this would rhyme with LInux and MInt. From here I sought for something that sounds elegant for me, and came up with:
Lisa - smart, elegant... unsophisticated...
Leena\Lina, which means light. freedom (free man) and palm tree - which is green too...
Linea\Linnea - sounds sleek (Linux Mint Linnea - how does that sound ? - I'd say that comes out of the mount with ease... )
