I've been testing both distributions absolutely new to me, I mean Point Linux and SparkyLinux. Both are based on Debian, like Linux Mint Debian Edition.
The version downloaded to your Mate Desktop, really work very well, very solid (it seemed a little better Point Linux). Should be noted that SparkyLinux also has a LXDE/e17 version, which I have not yet downloaded. Also I prefer Linux Mint Debian Edition with Mate, but if they are looking for Debian based distributions, should not miss. Greetings.-

Re: Point Linux & SparkyLinux (based on Debian)
Point Linux works well for me. Debian Wheezy plus Mate plus its own repository for non-free packages. Very nice.
And I'm a long time LMDE user (which I love).

Re: Point Linux & SparkyLinux (based on Debian)
Point Linux really works very, very well (and that is the first version !!!!), graphically beautiful and very smooth, apart from being a real rock. Point Linux people really deserves our Congratulations. Not sure if it asking too much, but I would really like be encouraged to get a version of Point Linux with KDE.-
Testing SparkyLinux in its e17/LXDE version. While I like more the Mate version, it really is a rock too, so undeniably good. Greetings.
