I thought this was cool

Postby eeezzzeee » Sun Sep 07, 2008 12:42 am

I was browsing flickr the tonight and came across this picture. Seems a school couldnt' afford a bunch of windows computers 5 years ago, so they built a bunch of computers and installed Gentoo on them. 5 years later they are still using the same computers, another good linux story.

Talking of which, I started college yesterday and found they had Firefox and GIMP installed. Using Firefox in an academic environment seemed like an alien prospect until now... :D
Linux Mint 8 RC1 = Nice
'apt install' can be used on Linux Mint as a shortcut for 'sudo apt-get install'. 'apt x' can be used for various other apt commands as well.
