IF anyone is interested, I have found , courtesy of a link in PCLOS forums, a windows tool that allows it to read and write to ext2 and ext3 partitions.

The way I see it is I can set up a partition for sharing files in,say, ext3 partition, and windows can access it just fine.
Finally, we can make windows accommodate Linux vs Linux having to change to fit windows.

edit - The above makes it seem as though I haven't used it yet, I use it currently and have had no troubles with it at all.
