they are very keen for everyone to use their Azure Platform,
- even to the point of getting RedHat on board:

Windows assumes I'm stupid but Linux demands proof of it

MS trying to "partner" with Linux doesn't bode well for the future of open-source computing, methinks. MS is still 100% for-profit, so anything they do is motivated by $$$. It's just like the aggressive business tactic of buying out a rival competitor just for the purpose of shutting them down. Linux as we know it will be in grave danger if MS continues to "partner" with them. MS will ensure that nothing remains free, if they get their way.

Just like Google I guess. That doesn't stop them to base their Oses on a Linux kernel.

Back to their old habits:

http://www.techrights.org/2016/02/09/mi ... inux-2016/

"Remember that this is a Microsoft-funded (in least in part) attack on Linux. It’s over a decade old. It’s nearly 13 years in the making. As Larry Goldfarb from BayStar, a key investor in SCO, once put it: “Microsoft wished to promote SCO and its pending lawsuit against IBM and the Linux operating system. But Microsoft did not want to be seen as attacking IBM or Linux.”

Yes, Microsoft loves to hide between or behind proxies, otherwise it might jeopardise the lie which is “Microsoft loves Linux.” It might make it harder for Microsoft to seduce fools into Azure for GNU/Linux hosting."

M$ is just as crappy as it ever was unfortunately.

Everyone knows who Microsoft "partnered" with to make Azure right?

Wait for it...............

Canonical. That's right, the Ubuntu guys that this distro is based on. Funny how that works, Microsoft (corporation) "partners" with Canonical (corporation) to make a Linux distro. They would never partner with a worth while distro. It's all about the Benjamins.
