Linux Mint Arch Edition 2017-2 (GTK3 3.22)

XFCE X86_64

add simple install/remove command
$ inst xxx = $sudo pacman -S xxx / sudo pacman -U xxx.pkg.tar.xz / sudo pacman -U http://xxx.xxx.pkg.tar.xz
$ del xxx = $ sudo pacman -Rs xxx
$ del = sudo pacman -Sc
$ upd = $ sudo pacman -Sy
$ aur = $ yaourt

kernel: 4.9.6-1-ARCH (Jan 26 09:22:26 CET 2017)

right click action:
mount image: iso nrg squashfs
DEB: unpack & pack

Since a couple of months I use Manjaro and I must say I really like it. It is snappy, it is light-weight (and yes I use KDE-full), uses little RAM.
Thinking about the OP's request I must say, having Mint on top of Arch instead of still on top of Ubuntu could be a nice combination. But as others wrote here already, it would cause too much work for the devs, so I would say: skip the Ubuntu version and continue with Arch.
This of course next to LMDE based solely on Debian.

Netrunner has both a manjaro based distro as well as a debian base.
