It might be interesting to compare the mining filters of No Coin and uBlock Origin with eachother:

I've used hBlock for system wide before, see github.com/zant95/hBlock.
This POSIX-compliant shell script, designed for Unix-like systems, gets a list of domains that serve ads, tracking scripts and malware from multiple reputable sources and creates a hosts file that prevents your system from connecting to them.

Maybe a reason to dump Adblock Plus and switch to uBlock Origin? Probably no need for a dedicated mining blocker like No Coin then.

-- Edit (2): you can see uBlock Origin's mining filters under: "uBlock filters - Resource abuse".
Fantastic!! Thanks for letting me know that for sure. I've found uBlock better than other blockers anyway, so I'm happy they have stepped up to this issue. A person on the Vivaldi Browser site made mention of that, but did not provide proof like you did.

If you use the TBB (with proper sec. settings), none of Joe's tricks will ever work ;)

Otherwise, you may simply use something like NoScript.

You can add the "No Coin" filter into Adblock Plus.

...i just discovered & further added the list_browser.txt from below to uBlock's custom filters (obviously, the Resource Abuse filter is enabled, and NoCoin i've also added manually)...

It might be somewhat overkill, but in this day & age, doh...whatever...
