Ubuntu 17.10 Will Be Re-Released on January 11

I know it's already been mentioned on the forum but i thought i'd start a thread for it.

I'll very likely have a play with it until Mint 19 comes out.

I saw it on our local forum, someone posted a link about corrupted bios on Lenovo mostly laptops..? And i must say that personally Unity is much beter then Gnome altough i do not use ubuntu anymore..But when you read something like that it makes you wonder would you download it anything so easy..like i used to when you have release annoucments and bug reports for reason..but you naive download and hurry with install without proper introducing to releases..

Lenovo keep being caught for hiding spyware in their bios so i wouldn't feel to sorry for them.

As of writing, Ubuntu.com still isn't advertising the 17.10 re-released ISO, but those wanting to download Ubuntu 17.10.1 can do so here. It's important to note that this 17.10.1 ISO re-release does not have any KPTI/Retpoline for Meltdown/Spectre mitigation or other changes. So it's still important to update your system once installed.

So far it's been solid, a few changes to NetworkManager.

Only played with Xubuntu so far and only 5 hours into it.

Everything seems to work very well.
