Are y'all aware, there are a ton of recordings on youtube of people using either Linux or in some cases Mac messing with these scammers? One of the few I watched all the way through was a guy with screen capture video and WINE installed so you could even see the scammer installing Windows software.

Sorry Tovian, I last watched a few of those nearly a year ago and with how many I watched at least part of it would take too much effort to find just that one (really, there are a lot of results if you do the search). I do remember that it wasn't one that showed up on the first page of search results at that time but one that came up as a suggested video in the right pane of youtube.

Maybe if you or someone else finds a few they like, those links can be shared?
