I've got an old Tosiba NB205 32 bit Atom process mini laptop. Was running Mint XFCE 18.3 and it was just slow. I tried Peppermint 8 and it runs great !!! My problem is ... The only Kernel I found that works is 4.4.0-116. The newer Kernel from the ISO will crash my video? My question is, Am I safe running this Kernel? I know it's LTS on Linux Mint so I assume it's OK on Peppermint also.
Thanks!

Re: Kernel on Peppermint 8
So yes. Kernel 4.4 is supported for entire lifetime of Ubuntu 16.04: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Support# ... el_SupportPeppermint Eight is built on the Ubuntu 16.04 code base
Peppermint not being Linux Mint related, they have their own support forum: https://forum.peppermintos.com/
