This is a power sucker

Post by DAMIEN1307 »

hi folks...this is one of my auxiliary systems i use...its in the "chat about linux" category because it is running peppermint 8, so here goes my question...how do i ascertain just how much power this system is sucking up?...it seems to me that it makes a vampire look blood deprived...lol......i have been using this as a backup...i own 16 other computers at present but this one seems to suck up as much power as facebook and google suck up in combined info...lol...here are the specs...power supply is 600 watts...is there some way to find out just what the system is sucking up?...thanks...DAMIEN

Can't comment on your log, how did you determine that this machine was the pig? I'd like to work that out for my machines, too.

I wish 'twere that easy for me. Three of my computers are in use most of the time. The other two I could turn off, Our bills only come in 3 monthly, It would be near impossible to live without one, or more of those computers for 3 months.
