Best New Computers For Linux Mint
I am looking for new computers that are capable of Linux Mint. Looking at most likely a minimum of 7th Gen i3, 128GB SSD, and 8GB RAM. I have an Intel NUC and a Dell Inspiron 3567 Laptop. I like the mini PC for home office/theater and laptop for travel over a tablet. Mostly use it for Youtube, Spotify, Rythymbox, Web browsing. Probably could use a less powerful CPU and 4GB RAM. I've looked at the Intel Compute Stick, Chromebooks/box, Dell Towers, Dell Laptops from Costco. I've also looked at used on eBay and I'm not opposed to that either.

Re: Best New Computers For Linux Mint
generally speaking, if you can get some machine that wosn't designed for win-8x or win10,
but rather for an older version of the windows system, that either has similar spec's to what you desire,
or that you can modify to obtain those specifications - - then that would be the preferred to way forward.
sure you can install LinuxMint onto those later machines, but it's a bit more tricky to achieve, though.

Hardware support in Linux is often a problem with very new hardware because it just takes longer for the kernel drivers to get out, and this is more of a problem with LTS distros like Mint. So a good idea is to check out those discount chains that sell last year's models.

There are many laptops out there that work well with Linux You can get them from System 76 https://system76.com/laptops
Zareason https://zareason.com and quite a few others, you did not give a price point. often the sticky point is wifi , video or track pad sometimes that cause problems.
Also good source of computers is referbished Lenovo thinkpads I had an old t430 that work well with mint. Lots of choices but do your research first.
look at compatiblity lists for ubuntu found here: https://certification.ubuntu.com see if a model is listed that your thinking of.
good luck in your search.
