Great, thanks. Found link explaining how to use cubic for ubuntu 18.04 and linux mint 19.0. I should do this myself, though I love fresh installs from repository.. it's like a bath for my pc. https://www.linuxuprising.com/2018/07/h ... t.html?m=1
