Desktop clips through background when recording, only happens in Cinnamon

Post by rhrazdil » Mon Sep 10, 2018 9:15 am

Hello guys,

This thread is a bit older, but I see that the issue hasn't been resolved nor has the thread been closed. I experience the same issue. When recording my screen, the wallpaper flickers through windows.

<moderator on>
Split your post from the old thread, Desktop clips through background when recording, only happens in Linux Mint Cinnamon, because
+ you are using Fedora release 28, not Linux Mint 18.x
+ the old thread was about an older Cinnamon, not Cinnamon 3.8.8
Whether any solution given in the old thread will work on Fedora 28 Cinnamon 3.8.8 nonetheless is a different question.

Hello!

I apologize that I missed the fact the the old thread is about Mint, however, using SimpleScreenRecorder is not a solution. It is actually the tool I used for the recording.

The issue doesn't occur on the very same fedora machine with KDE.

It doesn't matter if it happens or not in KDE in fedora for you, it's fedora and this is a Linux Mint forum. Other distros aren't supported here. It matters not one bit if it's Cinnamon.

Try the Fedora forums.
