Ah No - - these things are classed as an 'Hard Card' rather than an actual SSD as such.
& so they are more really designed as an after-market 'drop-in' replacement into an Tower type machine.
the other version is an eMMC type Hard Card,
& they are actually soldered onto the motherboard, in your Laptop ..
so in your case - you just need an regular SSD to replace the HDD in your Laptop.

I have one of those things that I ordered in by mistake....
my Gateway Desktop is circa 2006, wonder if they will fit inside that thing?
I have never opened it up, a long overdue job, just to clean out the dust and cobwebs.

With speeds like that you'll have the greenies after you for global warming. And all the ice around your igloo is going to start melting!
My machine already levitates when I switch it on

How do you use these SSD? It is to be installed like any other SSD drive? Can i use it to replace the one in my laptop for instance?
These are M.2 socket 3D NAND devices while sStandard SSDs are SATA connected. Your laptop won't have the socket unless it's relatively new and was sold as supporting M.2.

Sweet! Now I'm jealous.
You might actually reap the benefits one day. I had to do something to speed up large C++ compiles because I've gotten off my old lazy butt and started work on my promised SyncToy(tm) for Linux project, tentatively called Touchwood

Excellent! I'd been wondering if you were still pursuing that.

I was investing a lot of cogitation into the planning; deciding on the development environment, upgrading my machine to provide very fast compilation, and setting up the IDE and C++ compiler the way I wanted it.
