Better than focal fossa at any rate. One of my favourite bottled beers is old speckled hen actually but the corona beer image was to hand :P

It was the drink my deceased Grandfather used to enjoy and introduced me to. Actually the first drink he bought me after I was old enough to indulge but it was of course draught not bottled then. He would have it on special occasions or when we went out for meals for as long as I can remember, so I always took him some bottles when we visited.

It was originally brewed in Abingdon where he lived and is named after an old MG car that was used in the factory (also in Abingdon). It's no longer brewed there but still tastes the same as far as I can tell anyway.

The name came from the paint splatter covering the car from carrying stuff to and from the paint shop. The guys in the factory called the car 'old speckled un'.

I agree with both of you.

Op...your one and only post is pure crap...you know it and so do we. Image You say you've been using computers since the 80's...maybe that's your problem you're still living in the 80's and 80's technology is useless today. Image

Interesting that most people disagreeing with the OP does so in extremely immature ways...... if you were so obviously so correct you would not be disgracing the community in such a foolish manner.

Yes linux is more complicated than it needs to be, yes there needs to be more GUI alternatives that don't suck, yes cli is good when you need it but no it should not be mandatory if only because it increases the risk of using bad commands due to either mistyping or misunderstanding..... you can't expect a clerk to not make mistakes doing expert level work. And yes some kind of standardization IS needed, there are WAY too many choices, WAY too many paths, NOTHING ever gets properly finished either in thought or in execution..... the linux ecosystem is in a perpetual state of destructive ADHD.... this is fine if you enjoy struggling but not if you just want things to work.

Yes it's gotten better, yes there are limited resources, no it's not nirvana. Yes windows has gotten confusing but only because M$ has lost it's grip on reality in an apparent effort to dumb down everything past what is rational or even feasible, the settings control panel situation is a MESS that makes NO sense..... quite similar to samsung menu's in many ways.

Just this morning I saw an article about how lenovo is finally trying to standardize for linux but keeps dropping the ball, they probably underestimated the difficulty because they got used to being on autopilot for windows..... we should perhaps stop assuming miracles will happen?

Those living in glasshouses shouldn't throw rocks. Nice rant though. Almost as good as the OP. 4 out of 10.
It's pronounced kad-eye-cha, not kada-itcha.
