I had my buddy download VIM for his Mac, and once he started it, I got a nasty phone call from him about "What the heck is this stuff", so I explained it to him, and he told me he would never use it, and just grumped. He did not delete it though.......

I did get a call from my buddy about VIM, it was not complementary nor was it positive towards VIM. He was somewhat annoyed that I had caused him to waste his time.

You can remind him that many IDEs and terminals can be set to use VIM keybindings (and duck )
