Thanks for providing a link to data rather than opinion. I was somewhat surprised at the disk performance, which is probably the area (after boot time) where real world performance differences are most noticeable.

Yes, I agree that Linux is worlds better at file transfers.
OpenGL benchmarks are moot as they are highly dependent upon the drivers, which isn't a fault of Linux.

Yeap, I agree too. But it's almost the opposite when the comparation comes to GUI responsiveness: there isn't X.org in the middle of it, in the Microsoft world

When people at work are board and start dowwnloading games and the Windows pc get virusses, it can get very slow, and Firefox is a slow brower overall, get LXDE and Opera, Linux can get really fast then
