Satellite Card

Postby boysha » Tue Aug 07, 2007 2:42 pm

Hi,
Is there any software that would support a satellite card?
I tried to use my VideoMate card. Mint finds it but any TV software I tried
just can't find it.
I am very new so any/all the help is greatly appreciated.

All the best,

Boysha

A search for "Satellite Card ubuntu" gives lots of hits for Toshiba Satellite :)
This brings us to the question - what hardware do you use for your card?

Satellite Card

I was going to get Digiwave Satellite PCI Card 103G.
When you said that Ubuntu has many software for satellite...Does that mean
that I can use it on Mint? Maybe a stupid question but I am really new to Linux...
Thanks.

Sorry - I said "Toshiba Satellite", which is a laptop, gives many hits - I haven't found anything useful on Digiwave Satellite PCI so I can't tell you if it will work or not :(

Hi All,

That would be cool! I'd like to have that card.

In the early days we could connect to the Internet using Gopher, and run code to see what our satellites in Space where doing.

You have to admire those early pioneers.

Better search for: DVB-s linux
this gives more correct targets and btw: try VDR, its is a stand alone linux based digital video recorder
but also available for all distri.
