Vixta: Fedora based imitating Vistas look

Post by merlwiz79 »

I haven't got it to work on my machine.
It doesn't mount my swap and stops with a black screen and cursor.
Has anyone tested this?

Sounds pretty much like the original Vista ...

Sarcasm aside ... I and probably all others here will first have to look into this before we could give useful advice. I didn't even know that this existed.

I didn't know until yesterday.
I wanted to see if anyone had used it and what they thought of it.
I think I will redownload and burn a new copy.

It did mount the swap after I cleaned the lens of the combo drive.(not the one I used to burn)

I haven't installed a rpm distro in years and want to give this one a try.
If this one doesn't work I will try PCFluxboxOS.

I have re downloaded and burned, now it boots into the desktop. :)
It is a livecd only, so there is no install and not everything is in English. :?
Update:
It has an installer in My Computer users/vixta called liveinst.desktop
The root password is vixta.
