[Résolu]Touchpad inactif - Acer TravelMate P414-51 - Mint 20.2 Mate

Post by trax »

Bonjour,

Sauf retour vers 5.11.

J'apprécierais beaucoup un peu d'aide

C'est aussi simple que cela. Votre processeur

Code: Select all

CPU:
Topology: Quad Core model: 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7
est trop récent pour un noyau 5.4
C'est 5.11+ ou rien.

Et ceci :

Code: Select all

OpenGL: renderer: llvmpipe (LLVM 12.0.0 256 bits)

Code: Select all

Graphics:
  Device-1: NVIDIA GK106 [GeForce GTX 645 OEM] driver: nvidia v: 470.82.00
  Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.8 driver: nvidia
  unloaded: fbdev,modesetting,nouveau,vesa resolution: 1920x1080~60Hz
OpenGL: renderer: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 645/PCIe/SSE2
  v: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 470.82.00

Code: Select all

Audio:
Device-1: Intel vendor: Acer Incorporated ALI driver: sof-audio-pci

Code: Select all

Drives:
ID-2: /dev/sda type: USB vendor: Kingston model: DT Elite G2
size: 57.75 GiB serial: <filter> rev: PMAP scheme: MBR
dual boot LMDE4 (mostly) + LM19.3 Cinnamon (sometimes)

Code: Select all

journalctl -rb -1

On va 'ruser' :

Code: Select all

journalctl -rb -1
signifie :

Code: Select all

swapon --show

Code: Select all

$ swapon --show
NAME TYPE SIZE USED PRIO
/swapfile file 2G 0B -2

Code: Select all

$ journalctl -rb -1

Code: Select all

$ swapon --show
NAME TYPE SIZE USED PRIO
/swapfile file 2G 0B -2

Code: Select all

mokutil --sb-state

Code: Select all

mokutil --sb-state

Code: Select all

nov. 25 10:20:44 pcp kernel: secureboot: Secure boot enabled
Swap semble bon.

Code: Select all

nov. 25 10:20:44 pcp kernel: Adding 2097148k swap on /swapfile. Priority:-2 ex>
nov. 25 10:20:44 pcp systemd[1]: Activated swap /swapfile.
nov. 25 10:20:44 pcp systemd[1]: Reached target Swap.

Code: Select all

Code: Select all

nov. 25 10:21:56 pcp ntpd[792]: Soliciting pool server 149.202.2.105
nov. 25 10:23:24 pcp rtkit-daemon[930]: Supervising 7 threads of 1 processes of>

Code: Select all

nov. 25 10:20:44
nov. 25 10:23:47

Code: Select all

@trax

All was clear to me but this :

My guess was it meant not to shutdown too quickly and leave the session running at least ten minutes before shutting down in order to avoid boot logs being mixed with shutdown logs. Was I right ?

Basically, yes. To get an accurate timing for shutdown, everything has to be started and running. Many times the login screen and desktop appear before all the underlying processes have started. So to a user it appears the system is ready to go, but actually processes are still starting. That happens even on a fast computer because network-related tasks depend on the network hardware and internet speeds. That seems like it might be an issue here.

That is one reason I check timestamps on the lines. That is not the first time I have seen a "large" time gap on sequential lines of the log. They are sometimes easy to miss because one gets caught up reading the messages and forgets about the timestamps. (I do that too and I have read a LOT of logs.)

When booting the computer, especially from an unpowered state, there are a number of processes that need to start up and run. Also, shutting down can take time and sometimes the log has already stopped, but the computer is not yet completely shut down. This is why we sometimes ask people to take pictures of any error messages on the screen. Often these messages do not appear in the log because the log has already stopped. This often happens when there are kernel panics during shutdown.

Thanks for those deep and interesting explanations.

To summarize about the long shutdown issue :
- one explanation is :

- another, in your first post here, was that recent kernels basically do a better job checking, safeguarding or securing what has to be, the price of this quality being some boot and/or shutdown time.
And of course these two explanations may combine.

PS : if you agree with what's above, I'll do the translation job. It was already very kind from you to provide such help. And who knows, we'll perhaps be lucky and find out the OP understands English well.
