Linux-Steam-Version + Medieval 2 + Sicvilian Vespers

Hallo,
kennt sich wer mit dem sicilian vespers-Mod aus?
Ich habe ihn samt Hotfix 3.3 im Medieval-Verzeichnis von Steam installiert.
Außerdem habe ich die Startoption "--features.mod=mods/SicilianVespers" hinzugefügt.
Leider läuft das Spiel immer nur in der Grundversion an, die Mod wird nicht aktiviert.
Habe jetzt keine Idee mehr, was ich noch tun kann.

in focal ist m.e. noch kein neuerer -linux-oem vorhanden.

updaten auf jammy (mint 21.x) und
linux-oem-22.04c # für 22.04.4 kernel 6.1er
installieren.
oder einen entsprechenden ubuntu mainline kernel nehmen.
