Salve, ho installato LINUX MINT su un ACER E5-571 36FG in dual boot, UEFI, va velocissimo ma purtroppo non riesco a far funzionare il wifi.
Credo sia un problema di driver della scheda wifi BROADCOM BCM 43142
Da gestore driver vedo che il PC sta usando driver proprietari UBUNTU, ma ho paura che il secure boot ne blocchi l'esecuzione.
Non riesco neanche a disattivare il SECURE BOOT dal BIOS, posso solo impostare il Legacy mode ma così non parte il GRUB

Puoi disabilitare l'avvio sicuro nel BIOS, nella scheda Sicurezza? Potrebbe essere necessario creare prima una password supervisore per disabilitare l'avvio protetto.

ho messo la password ma non mi fa editare proprio il SECURE BOOT, ho fatto una foto

Penso che tu possa disabilitarlo nella scheda Boot, secure boot e fare clic su Disabilitato. Salva la modifica con F10.

dunque, con la password nel BIOS mi permette di accedere al comando ERASE ALL SECURE BOOT SETTING (vedi allegato); devo cambiare qui? anche perchè il comando sopra SECURE BOOT MODE è fisso su STANDARD ..

RISOLTO! sono riuscito finalmente a disattivare il secure boot, chissà perché prima non me lo faceva modificare ... forse sbagliavo qualcosa ...
