On the Configuration tab of pavucontrol, change the Profile to Input only. Then let's see the output of pacmd list-sources

Try arecord -d 5 test-mic.wav
and speak into the mic for 5 seconds. Follow that with aplay test-mic.wav
. Do you head any sound?
Pruebe arecord -d 5 test-mic.wav
y hable al micrófono durante 5 segundos. Siga eso con aplay test-mic.wav
. ¿Encantas algún sonido?

Okay let's try it a slightly different way:
Code: Select all
arecord -f S16_LE -d 5 -r 16000 --device="hw:1,0" test-mic1.wav
Bien, probémoslo de una manera ligeramente diferente:
Code: Select all
arecord -f S16_LE -d 5 -r 16000 --device="hw:1,0" test-mic1.wav
Siga eso con
aplay test-mic1.wav
.

I'll be off for a while. We had a storm come through and have property damage to deal with. It might be sometime tomorrow before I'm back.

I should ask, you are plugged into the pink port, correct?
And are you using a USB2 port on the computer?
