rename username in cinnamon login screen
i recently renamed the username on my new system mint 20.2 uma using the command line. i used usermod and groupmod and chfn to change the installed name to a name of my preference. everything went as expected except for the cinnamon login screen which still shows the original username. my question is: is there a text file or a c program that contains the username for cinnamon that i can modify or is there a simpler work around? thanks...

This may work, open the Menu > Account details and change the Name to your preference.
