Window Behavior

Post by kwisher »

I searched through just about every menu I can think of but can't find a setting to make program windows start back up again in the same position they were in when I closed them. Am I missing something obvious?

The instructions suggested Windows XP or better, so I installed Linux :)

The only thing close I can think of which your taking about requires Compiz. Make sure you have compizconfig-settings-manager. Go to Preferences => Advanced Desktop Effects Settings, From there select "Put Windows" in WIndow Management. You can use some of the auto functions or apply certain program windows to fixed positions with the second tab.
