Mint 12 Shutdown

Post by kensmith52 »

I have been running Mint 12 for about 2 months and after some new updates, it has stopped letting me shut down the computer by the software. I now have to hold in the power button to turn it off. I have been runnin Ubuntu for the last 4 years and thought I would try this mint 12. Will they be a fix for this.

This is not helpful in helping anyone to diagnose the problem, so you will need to give more detail. What happens when you try to shutdown via the menu? Is there an error message? Does it begin to shutdown but stops at some point? The more detail you provide the better.

Having the same issue. I see something about "broken pipe", nm-? (network-manager ?), and occasionally pulse-audio.
