Dpkg stuck

Post by cg2916 » Tue Jun 26, 2012 7:42 pm

I tried to install Virtualbox, but had to uninstall it. While uninstalling, it gets stuck on "Stopping Virtualbox kernel modules". I run dpkg --configure -a, same thing. How do I break this vicious cycle?

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.

Which then leads to a stuck --configure -a.

Fixed: I ran dpkg -r virtualbox and manually removed the package.
