Hi,
I installed a Gmail checker that seems to have killed the desktop. I can't login to it anymore. I'd put this in startup applications. This is what seems to have killed it.
So, I can use the live CD to get to a desktop and access the file system. What file do I need to edit to remove this entry?
Thanks

Go to your home folder, press Ctrl+H to show hidden files and folders.
Go to .config > autostart and remove the app's autostart file.
