Simply open the Software Manager, search for "cinnamon" and install the package by that name. Mint will install all the other dependencies -- other packages that are needed for the cinnamon desktop to work. After installation, reboot the computer or just log out. Before you enter your user name and password, click the icon with the gears. You will then be given the choice of using KDE or Cinnamon. Choose Cinnamon, then log-in. You are in Cinnamon!
