Hi All!
I'm far from home, and booting into live OS from a flash memory card on my laptop.
I installed Mint on my desktop, and LOVED it, but when I tried to boot the most recent version off a live CD, I had the common back-light problem (and haven't been smart enough to implement the workarounds suggested on many forums).
So, I'm curious if anyone knows how many versions I have to go back to avoid the back light problem (ie. on Ubuntu, I had to go back to 10. Natty to get things going)..
I'm typing now from an older Ubuntu, but I miss the multimedia / flash etc from MINT!
Any tips greatly appreciated
