Switching layout by Ctrl + Number

Post by andryk » Thu Sep 27, 2012 7:33 am

I want to switch keyboard layout by pressing + For example, if I have 3 languages - English, Russian and Ukrainian, I want to switch to English by pressing ctrl + 1, Russian - ctrl + 2 and Ukrainian - ctrl + 3.
This feature is available on Windows, that's why I am asking.
I can't find similar option in Mint/Cinnamon.
I've tried making shortcuts for command "setxkbmap ...", but this breaks keyboard applet.

System Settings > Keyboard Layout > Layouts > Options
[Edit] your original post and add [SOLVED] once your question is resolved.

“The people are my God” stressing the factor determining man’s destiny lies within man not in anything outside man, and thereby defining man as the dominator and remoulder of the world.
