Greetings;
there are a few pieces of software i got Via synaptic, that when i try to run them they start to run, i get the start menu then they just close.
i prime example is Lords At War, the SSI WarLords port. It starts fine then when it is loading a map, it just closes with no indication as to why.
I assume there is a way to have terminal open and showing why the program crashed, but I am ignorant of this info. Please help.
thanks stillcen

Re: Lords At War and other software mystry death
I guess you can start editing the menu (right-click > edit), get to the launcher that you use to start the program, and see what command it is calling. Then, just execute the same from terminal and see the output. You should get some useful info that way.

The program starts and runs, gets past the first 2 menus, then it dies.
