Fresh install, a few problems

Post by Foxblood »

Hi,

I've installed Mint for the first time and I have a few problems. Firstly, my keyboard is acting strange, inserting characters (mostly 7's) as I type. Secondly, Mint is not centered on my monitor screen. If I center it with my monitor control then my other OS's, Vista and XP are off center. Finally, I want to install nvidia drivers and I'm not sure what is the best way. I have heard conflicting reports regarding Envy.
Thanks in advance.

Update. I used Envy to install the nVidia drivers and, lo and behold, all of problems were solved in one fell swoop.
